1942-2023 Alice Paulette Hyatt, age 80, went to her heavenly home on March 23, 2023. Paulette was born on March 24, 1942 in Bakersfield, California to Stanley and Gertrude Rains. She graduated from Victoria High School then briefly attended Victoria College. Paulette married her high school sweetheart, Lyndon Earl Hyatt on June 10, 1961, in Victoria, Texas. Paulette decided to be a stay-at-home mom while raising her three children Danny, Laura, and David. After the children were older, she enjoyed working for the La Vernia News taking great pride in her weekly column 'Notes from Wood Valley.
